Often when I'm working on projects I don't see people that look like me. I have been open to mentoring throughout my career and even hired interns. I like to help build careers and build bridges for those looking to become professional software engineers. I hope that by mentoring people I can pass on knowledge that they wouldn't learn in school or that would take years of experience to learn. My process is project based learning as that is what helped me become good at what I do. I can provide books and resources (free) and expect that if I spend time teaching that the mentee will spend time learning.
